At JMA Resources, we take pride in sharing the incredible journeys of our team members. This month, we’re honored to feature Phil Mogilevsky, a dedicated U.S. Navy veteran whose leadership, commitment, and resilience shine through in every role. ⚓
Phil served 20 years in the Navy as a Supply Corps Officer. During his military career, he held key positions such as Executive Officer at the Naval Sea Logistics Center, Deputy Commander of the 834th Transportation Battalion at Military Ocean Terminal in Concord, and Department Head Afloat on the USS MAHAN (DDG 72). His time in service taught him invaluable lessons—most notably, to remain calm in high-stress situations, focus on the next step, and ensure that every mission is accomplished.
Transitioning to civilian life, Phil found that the Navy’s core values of honor, courage, and commitment perfectly align with the JMA Way. Today, he serves as our Manager of Contracts and Facility Security Officer, and he’s recently taken on an expanded role in Business Development. As he puts it, “JMA was the first real employment opportunity to arise, so I just took the job to have one! But I quickly discovered JMA is a different kind of company that truly values its employees, and I hope to remain here for the entirety of my second career.”
Phil also shares valuable advice for fellow veterans: keep your LinkedIn profile robust and updated—that’s how JMA found him—and take advantage of top-notch Transition Assistance Programs, like the one at Carlisle Barracks.
One of his most cherished memories from his military days came during his final deployment in 2009. An unexpected port visit to Haifa, Israel, allowed him to reconnect with an uncle he’d only met a few times. That impromptu reunion, complete with a tour of the naval warship and the city, remains a great blessing and a lasting reminder of the meaningful connections forged during service.
We’re proud to have Phil on our team and grateful for the significant impact he makes every day. Stay tuned to learn more about his inspiring journey and the insights he’s gained along the way! 🎉
