Our DoD Customer’s Data Integration Challenge: Transforming for Data-Driven Decision Making 

Effective analytics and decision support rely on access to real-time data. Most organizations have many disparate and disconnected systems that provide business data. Data Hub architecture works to integrate and automate data, and it is key to data-driven decisions and analytics capability. Our customer realized the need to better understand and standardize its data to align with the Department of Defense (DoD) overarching data strategies.

Solution

JMA’s Data Hub for Governance and Management 

JMA developed and deployed the data hub architecture for our client’s data platform data connections, business intelligence, analytics, data governance, data management, and organizational best practices. JMA performs a complete evaluation of our customers’ data governance and data management activities. This included gap analyses based on industry best practices, technology evaluations, and development of comprehensive data governance and data management processes.

JMA’s expertise in industry-leading data governance and data management methodologies helped show the customer what is working in their existing data processes and how, with some updates based on industry best practices, they could begin the transformation into a data-centric environment. This allows the client’s organization to be able to leverage their significant data asset at scale in support of the war fighter. JMA spearheaded efforts to formalize and implement policies that align with the overarching guidance from the DoD’s Chief Data Officer’s vision for Data Governance across the logistics enterprise
