Our DoD customer needed to accelerate its data warehouse modernization strategy for migration to the cloud due to end of support issues with its legacy data warehouse. The legacy solution storage, maintenance and computing requirements were cost prohibitive.

Solution

JMA’s Strategic Approach: On-Premises Data Warehouse Modernization Paves Way for Cloud Migration 

JMA conducted a rigorous evaluation to analyze current market offerings to support our customer’s data migration strategy and requirements. Given the constraints of timing, which did not allow for a full transition to the cloud, JMA advised the customer to choose the Yellowbrick data warehouse appliance for an on premises (on-prem) implementation and migration strategy to prepare for the jump to the cloud. The Yellowbrick appliance option provided a phased approach to incrementally advance from on-prem, cloud-ready to the final cloud hosted solution.
